Narrative:
After landing, aircraft pitched up, captain corrected by lowering nose gear to ground. At end of rollout, aircraft awaiting fdep reported a tail strike of our aircraft to tower controller. Supplemental information from acn 515615: I observed spoiler deployment on the ECAM and announced 'spoilers deployed.' the aircraft then pitched up and the captain responded by pushing forward on the yoke, lowering the nosewheel to the ground. After which another aircraft and the tower advised us of a tail strike.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A4300-600 CREW HAD ACFT PITCH UP AT SPOILER DEPLOYMENT. THIS RESULTED IN A TAIL STRIKE.
Narrative: AFTER LNDG, ACFT PITCHED UP, CAPT CORRECTED BY LOWERING NOSE GEAR TO GND. AT END OF ROLLOUT, ACFT AWAITING FDEP RPTED A TAIL STRIKE OF OUR ACFT TO TWR CTLR. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 515615: I OBSERVED SPOILER DEPLOYMENT ON THE ECAM AND ANNOUNCED 'SPOILERS DEPLOYED.' THE ACFT THEN PITCHED UP AND THE CAPT RESPONDED BY PUSHING FORWARD ON THE YOKE, LOWERING THE NOSEWHEEL TO THE GND. AFTER WHICH ANOTHER ACFT AND THE TWR ADVISED US OF A TAIL STRIKE.
