Narrative:
Dfw to phl. 80 mi east of dfw at 17000 ft, loss of 'B' system hydraulic fluid. 'B' system quantity and pressure went to zero. Accomplished abnormal procedures, declared an emergency, and returned to dfw. Normal landing on runway 17R. Cleared runway, stopped, and were towed back to gate xx. Fire department, maintenance, flight attendants, and cockpit crew all worked exceptionally well together. I recommend commendations to all.
