Narrative:
I heard aircraft 2 announce that he was approaching igx from the south while I was approaching from the north. I announced my position on the CTAF. ASOS stated that winds were variable at 3-4 KTS. As I was getting ready to go into a 45 degree turn for a right downwind runway 27, aircraft #2 announced that he was going to enter a left downwind runway 27. When I informed aircraft #2 that igx had a right pattern for runway 27, I received no reply. When aircraft #2 announced he was in a left downwind runway 27, I again informed him that runway 27 required a right pattern. I stated that if he had an emergency, I would get out of the pattern and give him right-of-way. Again, no reply. At this point, seeing aircraft #2 on final, I did a 360 degree turn to my left to give him time to land. I then re-entered the pattern, proceeded to baseleg, and announced turning final. Aircraft #2 announced backtaxi runway 27. At this point I told aircraft #2 that I thought he had his procedures mixed up, and did a go around. His response was that I was out of line, that he had a sick baby on board.

Title: A PA28 PLT, UNABLE TO CONFIRM ANOTHER ACFT'S INTENTIONS VIA 'UNICOM,' EXECUTED A 360 DEG TURN WHEN DISCOVERING SAID ACFT ON FINAL AND A GAR AS ACFT BACK TAXIED ON THE RWY.
Narrative: I HEARD ACFT 2 ANNOUNCE THAT HE WAS APCHING IGX FROM THE S WHILE I WAS APCHING FROM THE N. I ANNOUNCED MY POS ON THE CTAF. ASOS STATED THAT WINDS WERE VARIABLE AT 3-4 KTS. AS I WAS GETTING READY TO GO INTO A 45 DEG TURN FOR A R DOWNWIND RWY 27, ACFT #2 ANNOUNCED THAT HE WAS GOING TO ENTER A L DOWNWIND RWY 27. WHEN I INFORMED ACFT #2 THAT IGX HAD A R PATTERN FOR RWY 27, I RECEIVED NO REPLY. WHEN ACFT #2 ANNOUNCED HE WAS IN A L DOWNWIND RWY 27, I AGAIN INFORMED HIM THAT RWY 27 REQUIRED A R PATTERN. I STATED THAT IF HE HAD AN EMER, I WOULD GET OUT OF THE PATTERN AND GIVE HIM RIGHT-OF-WAY. AGAIN, NO REPLY. AT THIS POINT, SEEING ACFT #2 ON FINAL, I DID A 360 DEG TURN TO MY L TO GIVE HIM TIME TO LAND. I THEN RE-ENTERED THE PATTERN, PROCEEDED TO BASELEG, AND ANNOUNCED TURNING FINAL. ACFT #2 ANNOUNCED BACKTAXI RWY 27. AT THIS POINT I TOLD ACFT #2 THAT I THOUGHT HE HAD HIS PROCS MIXED UP, AND DID A GAR. HIS RESPONSE WAS THAT I WAS OUT OF LINE, THAT HE HAD A SICK BABY ON BOARD.
