Narrative:
During climb out of st paul airport, departure gave us an altitude to climb to that we heard as 8000 ft. As we were climbing they asked our altitude. Copilot said, 7600 ft climbing to 8000 ft. Copilot said 'we'll go back to 7000 ft if that's where you want us.
