Narrative:
After pushback, master caution light and overhead proximity slat electronics unit light on. On an earlier flight segment, maintenance had reset a circuit breaker in avionics bay to clear the same problem. Quick reaction checklist instructed 'do not take off.' since we were in sju, there was no maintenance to reset circuit breaker. Captain elected to reset the cockpit circuit breakers for proximity slat electronics unit. This cleared the lights. I did not countermand captain's decision to not write up the discrepancy, since the problem was resolved by our action and there were no abnormalities. Captain said he would inform maintenance upon our arrival at hub airport, which he did.
