Narrative:
ATC rerte after pushback creates an unnecessary workload and can also create confusion. This is becoming a common occurrence by ATC and I feel it is going to lead to a safety issue. We were cleared to what we both thought was lnm on departure and read it back as such and even questioned the controller again. Then the next controller said we were actually cleared to odi. I think playing 'musical' clrncs is not good. Not to mention it plays havoc with the planning process, ie, fuel on long legs.
