Narrative:
Parke departures do not exceed 250 KTS until reaching 11000 ft. I am not 100% certain that I complied. I am pretty sure I did, but the controller asked us to maintain 250 KTS until further advised as we climbed out of 13000 ft. I was accelerating to 300 KTS at that time. New york does this often -- it has just been a while, so I am trying to play it safe here.

Title: AN MD-80 FLT CREW IS UNCERTAIN IF THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO MAINTAIN AN AIRSPEED ASSIGNMENT OF 250 KTS AFTER THEY WERE AT 13000 FT, SO THEY INCREASED SPD ON THEIR OWN.
