Narrative:
Gear retract overspd. Climbing, ECAM directed a gear extension for hot brakes. Captain (PF) slowed to make an announcement to the passenger and asked me to lower the gear. I complied, first checking airspeed below 250 KTS per ECAM. A moment later, the brake system page indicated brake temperature normal and PF directed gear up. I again complied, immediately realizing I should have checked speed below 220 KTS, but it was too late. Gear retracted at 230 KTS, limit 220 KTS. Gear inspected upon arrival sea, no damage found.
