Narrative:

On start in okc the right engine peaked at 435 degrees. This is not an overtemp but, is within the limits the flight manual says to report as a non action information to maintenance item. On landing and shut down at the gate in dfw other maintenance entries were made, but the information item was inadvertently left out. I realized it half way to california on my next leg. Immediately upon landing I contacted maintenance control and told them of the inadvertent omission of the information item. They found the current location of the aircraft and said a maintenance entry would be made.
