Narrative:
I was conducting ojti at the pxv radar. The trainee turned the CRJ2 to a 180 degree heading for sbound traffic, overlooking the B747 wbound at FL310. I took control of the frequencys and attempted to resolve the confliction.

Title: ZID INSTRUCTOR IS NOT TIMELY IN INTERCEDING TO TAKE CTL POS FROM DEVELOPMENTAL AND SEPARATION IS LOST BTWN AN ENRTE B744 AND A CLBING CARJ.
Narrative: I WAS CONDUCTING OJTI AT THE PXV RADAR. THE TRAINEE TURNED THE CRJ2 TO A 180 DEG HDG FOR SBOUND TFC, OVERLOOKING THE B747 WBOUND AT FL310. I TOOK CTL OF THE FREQS AND ATTEMPTED TO RESOLVE THE CONFLICTION.
