Narrative:
On the ord 1 departure, it says we are to cross the ord 8 DME at 4000 ft MSL or above and expect vectors to first assigned fix. I believe that due to the numerous distrs during the departure review briefing, I and the captain did not continue to read the SID plate which stated the need to cross the 8 DME at or above 4000 ft MSL. Although nothing was mentioned by the controller, we did have the ord VOR tuned in to xchk our position in relation to the fix. This type of inattn due to distrs is a definite link in the error chain which must be broken. The briefing will be made from now on once the door is closed.
