Narrative:
While climbing after missed approach, controller cleared flight to 7000 ft. Controller then cleared flight to 8000. Clearance was read back by instructor/captain. 2 first officer's and captain heard controller's clearance. Passing through 7500 ft, controller told flight to 'maintain 7000 ft.' flight returned to 7000 ft. During the 3 hour training session, controller repeatedly issued incorrect initial altitudes for approachs and bad directions, ie, left instead of right.

PASSING THROUGH 7500 FT, CTLR TOLD FLT TO 'MAINTAIN 7000 FT.' FLT RETURNED TO 7000 FT. DURING THE 3 HR TRAINING SESSION, CTLR REPEATEDLY ISSUED INCORRECT INITIAL ALTS FOR APCHS AND BAD DIRECTIONS, IE, L INSTEAD OF R.
