Narrative:
B757 technician called to ask for placards on 23-01A and 23-01B. I told them I could not give him both and then we got into a discussion of what the problems were. After a while I finally asked him which one he wanted, as I was rather busy and he said 'B.' I said okay and gave him my initials without really finding out which side was inoperative even though I read the text of 'B' to him.
