Narrative:
We were asked to taxi the aircraft from the gate to remote parking apron. It was dusk, and we entered the apron from the east where a crew was waiting at the southwest corner of the ramp. There were no taxi lines. While taxiing on the south side of the ramp, we heard a noise and both the first officer and I thought that there was a pothole. We continued the taxi and made a right turn following the marshallers instructions. He continued guidance until the aircraft was parked. At no time did he indicate for us to stop taxiing. After departing the aircraft, the ground personnel said 'that was a close one.' we eventually discovered that the left wing of the aircraft came in contact with a light pole about 5 ft inboard of the wingtip. There is a 1 1/2 - 2 ft dent in the leading edge of the wing. It was dusk and the sky was gray -- the same color as the light pole -- and the lights were not on. After the incident, we were informed that the airport authority/authorized parked us. We were also advised that this was the third such incident on that ramp. Supplemental information from acn 522917: after shutting down, I went outside to see what it was and saw a dent on the leading edge of the left wingtip about 5 ft from the wingtip. The taxi-in crew advised me that we had hit a lamp pole. The pole was gray and the lights were not on yet. The air carrier ramp personnel informed me that it was the airport authority/authorized that had parked us. He also informed me that this was the third incident that he knew of like this.

Title: A B737 CREW, WHILE TAXIING AN ACFT TO A REMOTE PARKING AREA AT OMA, ENCOUNTERED A LIGHT POLE WITH THE L WING.
Narrative: WE WERE ASKED TO TAXI THE ACFT FROM THE GATE TO REMOTE PARKING APRON. IT WAS DUSK, AND WE ENTERED THE APRON FROM THE E WHERE A CREW WAS WAITING AT THE SW CORNER OF THE RAMP. THERE WERE NO TAXI LINES. WHILE TAXIING ON THE S SIDE OF THE RAMP, WE HEARD A NOISE AND BOTH THE FO AND I THOUGHT THAT THERE WAS A POTHOLE. WE CONTINUED THE TAXI AND MADE A R TURN FOLLOWING THE MARSHALLERS INSTRUCTIONS. HE CONTINUED GUIDANCE UNTIL THE ACFT WAS PARKED. AT NO TIME DID HE INDICATE FOR US TO STOP TAXIING. AFTER DEPARTING THE ACFT, THE GND PERSONNEL SAID 'THAT WAS A CLOSE ONE.' WE EVENTUALLY DISCOVERED THAT THE L WING OF THE ACFT CAME IN CONTACT WITH A LIGHT POLE ABOUT 5 FT INBOARD OF THE WINGTIP. THE TAXI-IN CREW ADVISED ME THAT WE HAD HIT A LAMP POLE. THE POLE WAS GRAY AND THE LIGHTS WERE NOT ON YET. THE ACR RAMP PERSONNEL INFORMED ME THAT IT WAS THE ARPT AUTH THAT HAD PARKED US. HE ALSO INFORMED ME THAT THIS WAS THE THIRD INCIDENT THAT HE KNEW OF LIKE THIS.
