Narrative:
During approach into ord, we were told to expect short approach to runway 9L. While turning from downwind to base, we were cleared for the visual and to maintain separation from an aircraft on approach to runway 9R. The captain was the PF. While in the turn we were configuring and trying to get down quickly. I noticed the captain lining up for runway 9R. I immediately initiated a turn to the left, and then verbalized what was happening. The captain quickly continued the turn and we landed uneventfully on runway 9L.
