Narrative:

First officer received departure clearance from jnu via the JNU2.jnu. The captain assumed the departure was via the CUSH1. CUSH1 because that is the departure we normally request and receive. At barlo the captain noticed that the first officer had his HSI set to turn for the JNU2. The captain asked the first officer which departure we had been cleared for and he said the JNU2. Immediately asked for, and received clearance from zan, for the CUSH1 departure but may have deviated beyond the protected airspace of the JNU2 before receiving clearance for the CUSHI1. The first officer is fairly new on the aircraft and I failed to properly brief and supervise him on the correct departure out of juneau. Although he noticed that I was putting the waypoints for the CHSHI1 in the FMS, the first officer failed to speak up that it was not our filed departure. A bad example of CRM skills on both our parts.
