Narrative:
On landing rollout, our aircraft was decelerating through about 130 KTS and tower was anxious to depart the other aircraft, so the controller said to us, 'exit either taxiway golf or alpha.' I acknowledged with 'roger,' paying more attention to our own aircraft in its landing phase. Then tower cleared other aircraft for takeoff. No lahso procedures at rockford, no request to hold short of runway 19. We made taxiway alpha, but felt the controller should have waited until we were clear of runway or at a much slower speed before clearing other aircraft for takeoff.
