Narrative:

On descent into yyc assigned 16000 ft. Missed speed assignment and might have exceeded the requirement for maximum 200 KTS below 3000 ft AGL 10 DME. We were slowing through 240 KTS when approach reminded us of speed assignment. Approach asked us our speed but no other comments.
