Narrative:
We were climbing through FL215 on our way up to FL270. Upon receiving a door slide disarmed warning, we requested clearance to stop our climb at FL250. ZLA approved our request so we proceeded to investigate the slide anomaly. We inadvertently passed through FL250 and stopped the climb at FL257 and advised ZLA that we were returning to FL250. He stated that we were cleared to FL250 and stated there was no problem.
