Narrative:
I was unaware of fdc NOTAM 1/0530 advising avoiding airspace over nuclear power plants. I was operating near north end of lake monticello on a VFR training flight in designated north practice area. I was in ATC radar following until we descended below radar coverage VFR maneuvering. We were then told by ATC radar contact lost and to call inbound. We operated near the lake and plant, proceeded to fdw and returned to cae. I learned of fdc NOTAM on 9/sun/01 reading internet. With the continuing rapid changing of airspace and issuing of NOTAMS after attacks on 9/tue/01, I will update with FSS more frequently (daily) to have most current information on airspace restrs.
