Narrative:
I was the PF and we were given direct to dvv, speed our discretion. Captain was working the radios and as we approached den, I asked him what runway we were assigned. When the captain queried, the frequency had been inadvertently switched back to frequency #1. The controller told us to go back to frequency #2. Back on with frequency #2, he told us to make a right 270 degree turn, descend to 12000 ft. We then were vectored for a right downwind to runway 16 and then landed without incident. Approximately time off frequency #2 was probably around 2 mins.
