Narrative:

I departed fty for a flight to 46A, blairsville, GA. The departure and en route segments of the flight were uneventful. Approximately 15 NM from blairsville, I advised ZTL 'I have the airport in sight.' the controller responded, 'aircraft X, roger, you can report your cancellation this frequency on the ground.' I assumed that meant the next time I was expected to talk to him was on the ground. I began my visual approach (descent) into the blairsville area, and switched to airport advisory frequency. After obtaining the winds, I switched back to ZTL frequency just to monitor. I heard the controller calling my call sign, 'aircraft X, I've been trying to reach you for several mins, contact ZTL 133.4(?).
