Narrative:
I was on a VFR flight at 6500 ft MSL from YYY to ZZZ. I was aware of the 10 NM restr around power plants and assumed that it applied to the xyz labs as well, but had not seen xyz labs listed as one of the locations in the NOTAM I received. Regardless, I was on a route that should have taken me just to the north of the airspace. There are no navaids at xyz and it is not a prominent landmark, so I was using a sectional to judge my distance. Apparently, I got close enough to the airspace to cause concern, because approach controller at ZZZ was looking for me when I landed at ZZZ. I was not asked to contact anyone regarding the issue. This was the message relayed to me by ZZZ airport employees. In no way did I intentionally intrude on the restr airspace. I could have prevented the problem by being on an IFR flight plan. In the future, this is what I will do.
