Narrative:
I contacted tower after handoff from hou approach control. Reported we were on a visual approach to runway 12R. Tower asked where we were parking. I said at the FBO. He said runway 12L was available. I said fine. We landed on runway 12L. After landing, we were told to call tower. We were informed we had landed on a closed runway. We both heard that runway 12L was available -- that is why we changed runways from runway 12L to runway 12R. If the tower operator would not have said anything about runway 12L, we would have landed on runway 12R and none of this litigation would have arisen. The tower operator should not have mentioned anything about runway 12L and none of the above would have occurred.
