Narrative:
Seminole with student pilot at controls made radio call announcing departure on runway 36 with a left downwind departure to the east (per established local procedures to stay out of class C surface area to the north). Began takeoff roll uneventfully. About 15 KTS below vr (50 KIAS), a twin commanche, taxiing from run-up area to FBO (east side of runway to west side midfield taxiway), began to enter runway. I called out on radio, 'tail number, stop!!' commanche applied more power to try and dart across runway. As I made radio call, student immediately reduce power as I began pulling mixtures and braking. Separation at time of abort was less than 500 ft. Exited the runway, taxi back and departed uneventfully. Commanche pilot claimed to not have heard radio call nor seen seminole on takeoff roll.

Title: PA44 INITIATES TKOF ABORT WHEN OBSERVING PA30 XING RWY AT 2R4 ARPT.
Narrative: SEMINOLE WITH STUDENT PLT AT CTLS MADE RADIO CALL ANNOUNCING DEP ON RWY 36 WITH A L DOWNWIND DEP TO THE E (PER ESTABLISHED LOCAL PROCS TO STAY OUT OF CLASS C SURFACE AREA TO THE N). BEGAN TKOF ROLL UNEVENTFULLY. ABOUT 15 KTS BELOW VR (50 KIAS), A TWIN COMMANCHE, TAXIING FROM RUN-UP AREA TO FBO (E SIDE OF RWY TO W SIDE MIDFIELD TXWY), BEGAN TO ENTER RWY. I CALLED OUT ON RADIO, 'TAIL NUMBER, STOP!!' COMMANCHE APPLIED MORE PWR TO TRY AND DART ACROSS RWY. AS I MADE RADIO CALL, STUDENT IMMEDIATELY REDUCE PWR AS I BEGAN PULLING MIXTURES AND BRAKING. SEPARATION AT TIME OF ABORT WAS LESS THAN 500 FT. EXITED THE RWY, TAXI BACK AND DEPARTED UNEVENTFULLY. COMMANCHE PLT CLAIMED TO NOT HAVE HEARD RADIO CALL NOR SEEN SEMINOLE ON TKOF ROLL.
