Narrative:

Upon arrival at aircraft this morning I was informed that new security procedures allowed catering persons on the aircraft unsupervised. A company memo was provided to me describing these changes. Upon arrival, I confirmed these new procedures with system operation center. Bottom line is catering personnel have complete unsupervised accesses to the aircraft while crew members are subjected to intimidating searches at security chkpoints. Again, this is totally unacceptable to air crews. Since our lives are at risk when the door is closed other personnel should be subjected to no less than the standards that air crews must go through.
