Narrative:
I landed at dxr on or about XA40 am, nov/mon/01. I closed out my IFR flight plan with new york approach, and was told to squawk VFR and contact danbury tower. I was #2 following another cherokee, was granted permission to land runway 26 and landed without incident. I was then told to turn left on the taxiway C and contact danbury ground control. I turned off runway 26 as directed, pulled past the hold short line, and contacted danbury ground control. Ground control asked me my intentions and I said that I needed taxi instructions to the FBO I was told that I was to continue in current direction (east) on current taxiway, turn left on runway 17/35 to taxiway a and turn right on taxiway a to the FBO. I copied back the instructions and was given clearance to taxi (to the FBO). I proceeded with these instructions as I understand them and upon entering taxiway a (to the FBO) ground control instructed me to stop. I was then told that I had not been cleared to cross runway 26 and was to call them as soon as I arrived at the FBO. I was then told to continue to the FBO. I proceeded to the FBO and parked my plane. I went inside and immediately called the ground control. I was then told that they would write an incident report to the FAA in for an enforcement action on runway incursion. I told ground control that I had never been cited for anything and that I believed that I had followed ground control's instructions properly. I was then asked for my full name, pilot's certificate, address and daytime telephone number. After giving this information, I asked if I could have a copy of the specific radio xmissions between me and ground control and was told I couldn't have a copy because this was a federally contracted facility (???) and the FAA would be given a copy. Reflecting on this later, I realized that despite not receiving a 'hold short runway 26' from ground control I was in error. I pride myself on being a competent, safe and 'professional' private pilot and am highly embarrassed and irritated with letting this happen to myself.

Title: PA28 PLT WAS ACCUSED OF XING A RWY WITHOUT CLRNC.
Narrative: I LANDED AT DXR ON OR ABOUT XA40 AM, NOV/MON/01. I CLOSED OUT MY IFR FLT PLAN WITH NEW YORK APCH, AND WAS TOLD TO SQUAWK VFR AND CONTACT DANBURY TWR. I WAS #2 FOLLOWING ANOTHER CHEROKEE, WAS GRANTED PERMISSION TO LAND RWY 26 AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. I WAS THEN TOLD TO TURN L ON THE TXWY C AND CONTACT DANBURY GND CTL. I TURNED OFF RWY 26 AS DIRECTED, PULLED PAST THE HOLD SHORT LINE, AND CONTACTED DANBURY GND CTL. GND CTL ASKED ME MY INTENTIONS AND I SAID THAT I NEEDED TAXI INSTRUCTIONS TO THE FBO I WAS TOLD THAT I WAS TO CONTINUE IN CURRENT DIRECTION (E) ON CURRENT TXWY, TURN L ON RWY 17/35 TO TXWY A AND TURN R ON TXWY A TO THE FBO. I COPIED BACK THE INSTRUCTIONS AND WAS GIVEN CLRNC TO TAXI (TO THE FBO). I PROCEEDED WITH THESE INSTRUCTIONS AS I UNDERSTAND THEM AND UPON ENTERING TXWY A (TO THE FBO) GND CTL INSTRUCTED ME TO STOP. I WAS THEN TOLD THAT I HAD NOT BEEN CLRED TO CROSS RWY 26 AND WAS TO CALL THEM AS SOON AS I ARRIVED AT THE FBO. I WAS THEN TOLD TO CONTINUE TO THE FBO. I PROCEEDED TO THE FBO AND PARKED MY PLANE. I WENT INSIDE AND IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE GND CTL. I WAS THEN TOLD THAT THEY WOULD WRITE AN INCIDENT RPT TO THE FAA IN FOR AN ENFORCEMENT ACTION ON RWY INCURSION. I TOLD GND CTL THAT I HAD NEVER BEEN CITED FOR ANYTHING AND THAT I BELIEVED THAT I HAD FOLLOWED GND CTL'S INSTRUCTIONS PROPERLY. I WAS THEN ASKED FOR MY FULL NAME, PLT'S CERTIFICATE, ADDRESS AND DAYTIME TELEPHONE NUMBER. AFTER GIVING THIS INFO, I ASKED IF I COULD HAVE A COPY OF THE SPECIFIC RADIO XMISSIONS BTWN ME AND GND CTL AND WAS TOLD I COULDN'T HAVE A COPY BECAUSE THIS WAS A FEDERALLY CONTRACTED FACILITY (???) AND THE FAA WOULD BE GIVEN A COPY. REFLECTING ON THIS LATER, I REALIZED THAT DESPITE NOT RECEIVING A 'HOLD SHORT RWY 26' FROM GND CTL I WAS IN ERROR. I PRIDE MYSELF ON BEING A COMPETENT, SAFE AND 'PROFESSIONAL' PVT PLT AND AM HIGHLY EMBARRASSED AND IRRITATED WITH LETTING THIS HAPPEN TO MYSELF.
