Narrative:
Wake turbulence. Nov/tue/01 due to the recent problem encounter in new york, I thought I should debrief a turbulence account on my last trip. We were on the arrival into dfw on the jen 6. The plane in front of us turned out to be a B757 and he was approximately 10 mi ahead. I had descended faster than the B757 and we were about 1500 ft below his altitude on TCASII. The aircraft rolled to the right and then back to the left. The autoplt was engaged and tripped off. I checked with flight attendants and everyone appeared to be ok. I offset the course we were holding to the upwind side and did not have any further problem.
