Narrative:

I departed ues on a local pleasure flight from runway 24. Upon my return, tower instructed me to make right traffic and cleared me to land on runway 18. The landing was uneventful. However, during my rollout, the tower informed me that I had landed on a taxiway that is parallel to the runway. I was not familiar with runway 18 and the low afternoon sun in my eyes made it impossible to see the runway markings. To my knowledge, no other aircraft or ground vehicles were effected. In the future, a greater use of airport layout diagrams will prevent a recurrence.
