Narrative:
On final into rdu, the captain called me and told me that we had just aborted landing and it was because of the landing gear. He also told me we were going to circle and see if they could fix the problem. That is when the first officer came out of the cockpit to go check the gear and I went to the cockpit. That happened 3 times and then the captain told me we were going to prepare for an emergency landing and I went to the cockpit to get the test information. We (the flight attendants) had 20 mins to complete our checklist. We finished it and then sat in our jump seats. At 500 ft the captain chimed us indicating it was time to get the passenger in there brace position. We did, and then landed without incident.
