Narrative:

Declared emergency due sticking elevator. On climb out noticed slight binding in elevator control fwd of trimmed neutral. This was a slight binding effect previously written up and signed off. Did not seem a big problem but decided to write it up for ZZZ. Notified dispatch for heads up. Later, at FL330, approximately 150 mi west of ZZZ, number 1 automatic pilot started to oscillate plus/minus 500/700 FPM. Disconnected autoplt and discovered very high elevator forces, almost jammed. Decided to continue to ZZZ. Declared emergency in case problem worsened. Requested aarf. Problem minimized as we descended and was back to normal detent effect on approach to landing. Normal landing.
