Narrative:

After an uneventful approach and landing on runway at ZZZ, we were told to contact air carrier X ramp at spot a for clearance to cross their ramp to air carrier Y's ramp. Air carrier X ramp control told us to transition to the south line and contact air carrier Y ramp control at taxiway. Approaching taxiway, I noticed a deicing truck parked just off the ramp in the area between txwys. Another aircraft taxied past this truck but I don't recall the type. We contacted air carrier Y ramp and they told us to taxi south on taxiway to our gate. I was following the taxi lines and as we approached our turn point, the first officer told me to watch out for the truck. I slowed and proceeded straight ahead and then the first officer said it was ok now, the boom operator was giving us an all clear signal. Now my main concern was my left wing because if I didn't turn now, I could have problems with men and equipment in the gate area. I continued braking and turned right to get back on the taxiway centerline. We felt the aircraft shudder, but thought it was the normal brake shudder of the MD88. The flight attendants chimed us to say we had hit the truck. As we were almost to our gate, we proceeded to parking. The right wingtip was damaged from contact with the truck. Several witnesses, including the flight attendants and an air carrier Y pilot in first class, saw the all clear signal from the truck prior to the contact.
