Narrative:
Irregular maintenance write-up. During crew change in ZZZ inbound captain informed me that she had entered an 'information only' write-up in the logbook for a takeoff warning horn that had sounded on the previous takeoff. The write-up was as follows: 'information only: takeoff warning horn sounded as power was applied for takeoff. Stabilizer trim was set in green band at 5.5 as calculated. Trimmed nose down to 5.3 and warning stopped.' upon arrival in ZZZ1 we requested that a mechanic meet us to review the write-up. He informed us that this was not an 'information only' write-up and that we had an open write-up. Further analysis revealed that there was a .5 unit discrepancy between the captain's and the first officer's trim indicators. We checked the takeoff warning horn and discovered that the captain's trim indicator could show 5.5 and the first officer's trim indicator could show 6.0 and the takeoff warning horn would sound. So, according to the first officer's trim indicator the system was operating normally. We continued on to ZZZ2 with assurance from the mechanic that ZZZ2 maintenance would calibrate the trim indicators. The mechanic's corrective action write-up was as follows: 'C/west takeoff warning system operations check normal per maintenance manual. Noted by maintenance.'

Title: B737-300 CREW REQUESTED MAINT EVALUATE AN INBOUND CREW 'INFO ONLY' WRITE-UP REGARDING STABILIZER TRIM SETTING ACCURACY AND A TKOF WARNING HORN.
Narrative: IRREGULAR MAINT WRITE-UP. DURING CREW CHANGE IN ZZZ INBOUND CAPT INFORMED ME THAT SHE HAD ENTERED AN 'INFO ONLY' WRITE-UP IN THE LOGBOOK FOR A TKOF WARNING HORN THAT HAD SOUNDED ON THE PREVIOUS TKOF. THE WRITE-UP WAS AS FOLLOWS: 'INFO ONLY: TKOF WARNING HORN SOUNDED AS PWR WAS APPLIED FOR TKOF. STABILIZER TRIM WAS SET IN GREEN BAND AT 5.5 AS CALCULATED. TRIMMED NOSE DOWN TO 5.3 AND WARNING STOPPED.' UPON ARR IN ZZZ1 WE REQUESTED THAT A MECH MEET US TO REVIEW THE WRITE-UP. HE INFORMED US THAT THIS WAS NOT AN 'INFO ONLY' WRITE-UP AND THAT WE HAD AN OPEN WRITE-UP. FURTHER ANALYSIS REVEALED THAT THERE WAS A .5 UNIT DISCREPANCY BTWN THE CAPT'S AND THE FO'S TRIM INDICATORS. WE CHKED THE TKOF WARNING HORN AND DISCOVERED THAT THE CAPT'S TRIM INDICATOR COULD SHOW 5.5 AND THE FO'S TRIM INDICATOR COULD SHOW 6.0 AND THE TKOF WARNING HORN WOULD SOUND. SO, ACCORDING TO THE FO'S TRIM INDICATOR THE SYS WAS OPERATING NORMALLY. WE CONTINUED ON TO ZZZ2 WITH ASSURANCE FROM THE MECH THAT ZZZ2 MAINT WOULD CALIBRATE THE TRIM INDICATORS. THE MECH'S CORRECTIVE ACTION WRITE-UP WAS AS FOLLOWS: 'C/W TKOF WARNING SYS OPS CHK NORMAL PER MAINT MANUAL. NOTED BY MAINT.'
