Narrative:
I was called by a mechanic to placard the rudder ratio light at XA50 on dec/thu/01. The MEL reference is 27-07. I issued the placard and then the PIREP was put into the computer system and stated the rudder ratio message was illuminated on EICAS. The PIREP was entered into the computer system at XN53 on dec/thu/01. The mechanic did not state he had an EICAS message for the rudder ratio.

Title: A B757-200 WAS DISPATCHED WITH A DEFERRAL ON THE RUDDER RATIO SYS THAT WAS NOT CLRLY THE ACTUAL CONDITION OF THE LOGBOOK RPT.
Narrative: I WAS CALLED BY A MECH TO PLACARD THE RUDDER RATIO LIGHT AT XA50 ON DEC/THU/01. THE MEL REF IS 27-07. I ISSUED THE PLACARD AND THEN THE PIREP WAS PUT INTO THE COMPUTER SYS AND STATED THE RUDDER RATIO MESSAGE WAS ILLUMINATED ON EICAS. THE PIREP WAS ENTERED INTO THE COMPUTER SYS AT XN53 ON DEC/THU/01. THE MECH DID NOT STATE HE HAD AN EICAS MESSAGE FOR THE RUDDER RATIO.
