Narrative:
We were on final ILS to runway 19R at sna. Tower advised that we were 4 mi behind a B737, and 4 mi in front of a jet STAR. I asked to land long over touchdown point of B737. Tower asked if we could take runway 19L and I didn't because it was uncomfortably short, but exacerbated by the fact that we would have to land short, minimum airspeed and through the jetwash of a B767 at position a well, would you believe that tower cleared the B767 into position behind the landing B737, so if I would have landed long over the B737, I would have been in the wake of the now departing B767. Another B737 at position 'B' was cleared to hold at 'a.' so we had no choice but to take runway 19L, low, short landing at a minimum airspeed. It took vigorous control action to counteract the jetblast behind the B737 at position 'a,' and brisk braking to stop. Sna tower goes out of its way to favor airline operations and clearly compromised safety in this case.

Title: C414 PLT CHALLENGES SNA SVC TO GA USER WHEN REFUSED TO UTILIZE RWY 19R.
Narrative: WE WERE ON FINAL ILS TO RWY 19R AT SNA. TWR ADVISED THAT WE WERE 4 MI BEHIND A B737, AND 4 MI IN FRONT OF A JET STAR. I ASKED TO LAND LONG OVER TOUCHDOWN POINT OF B737. TWR ASKED IF WE COULD TAKE RWY 19L AND I DIDN'T BECAUSE IT WAS UNCOMFORTABLY SHORT, BUT EXACERBATED BY THE FACT THAT WE WOULD HAVE TO LAND SHORT, MINIMUM AIRSPD AND THROUGH THE JETWASH OF A B767 AT POS A WELL, WOULD YOU BELIEVE THAT TWR CLRED THE B767 INTO POS BEHIND THE LNDG B737, SO IF I WOULD HAVE LANDED LONG OVER THE B737, I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE WAKE OF THE NOW DEPARTING B767. ANOTHER B737 AT POS 'B' WAS CLRED TO HOLD AT 'A.' SO WE HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO TAKE RWY 19L, LOW, SHORT LNDG AT A MINIMUM AIRSPD. IT TOOK VIGOROUS CTL ACTION TO COUNTERACT THE JETBLAST BEHIND THE B737 AT POS 'A,' AND BRISK BRAKING TO STOP. SNA TWR GOES OUT OF ITS WAY TO FAVOR AIRLINE OPS AND CLRLY COMPROMISED SAFETY IN THIS CASE.
