Narrative:

Reporting pilot made an error and entered left downwind for runway 10 (ues tower advised me to report 2 mi final for runway 28). AWOS was OTS, no ATIS at ues. Other aircraft was departing runway 28 and remaining in pattern. I saw aircraft departing runway 28 as I turned final for runway 10. Don't believe departing aircraft saw me. I broke off approach and entered left traffic for runway 28. Subsequently phoned tower after landing. I believe I made the error due to low recent time in type (previous time in type 20 yrs ago), and because I had ILS runway 10 approach plate displayed in cockpit. Inexcusable, but it happened.
