Narrative:
Beginning descent we got a message right hydraulic quantity low, associated with a low indication. Following our procedures, it led us to the emergency landing gear extension procedure. We talked with our maintenance personnel to inform them and to forward our situation to ZZZ, along with the request for maintenance personnel upon arrival. We spoke with the flight attendants and people to bring them into the loop and what to expect. We declared an emergency with approach requesting the equipment. With 3 green lights we landed and came to a stop. Maintenance raised the gear doors, installed gear pins and towed us to the gate. Flight attendants and passenger kept up to date throughout. These sits are good drills in communication.
