Narrative:
While flying at FL390 heard a loud pop, saw captain's windshield broken, put on oxygen masks, declared emergency with ATC and started emergency descent to 10000 ft with qrc (quick response checklist). Flight attendants notified about problem, let passenger know what was going on. Contacted dispatch and maintenance, all agreed, continue to den. Normal landing.
