Narrative:
I was coming from imperial airport VFR to myf, direct. I was talking to socal radar flight following. When I was about 6 mi east of gillespie, socal told me to contact montgomery tower. Montgomery tower said to expect visual for runway 28L, report over lake. I started my descent into gillespie thinking it was montgomery. I was on a code. No one called me to warn me that gillespie is 4 mi (12 O'clock position). When I was 1/2 mi from landing, I called montgomery tower. I asked him, 'have you been trying to call me?' he replied, 'no.' gillespie tower saw me on final approach and did not even attempt to give me a green light or red light.
