Narrative:
Seatbelt item was missed during before engine start checklist. After engine start, the parking brake was inadvertently released when the pilot attempted to untangle the observer's shoulder harness from the tow bar. Without either occupant being aware of movement, the aircraft veered to the right, contacting a hangar door. Damage was done to the hangar door, the propeller, wingtip, and possibly the engine.
