Narrative:
Ground aircraft traffic. Pushed back from gate at mia. Towed to spot drop-off point between concourses. As tow crew was disconnecting tow bar and tug, a B747-400 taxied inbound to same spot. Aircraft taxied toward us to park at gate lead-in line near spot. Captain taxied and turned in to gate. Left vertical winglet passed within feet of our windscreen. Ground crew was giving stop signal. Our ground crew stood in amazement of his action and acted as wing walkers. If they had given a stop signal, it would have not been seen or not followed. ZMA ground control only clears incoming traffic to the gate. Airlines gate operations do not talk to other carriers on other concourses. This was a very uncomfortable situation to be in. Mia ground control was going to try to arrange a meeting with carriers on concourse.

Title: A300 CREW AND B747-400 ALMOST COLLIDED WHEN THE FOREIGN ACR CAPT TAXIED TO THE GATE.
Narrative: GND ACFT TFC. PUSHED BACK FROM GATE AT MIA. TOWED TO SPOT DROP-OFF POINT BTWN CONCOURSES. AS TOW CREW WAS DISCONNECTING TOW BAR AND TUG, A B747-400 TAXIED INBOUND TO SAME SPOT. ACFT TAXIED TOWARD US TO PARK AT GATE LEAD-IN LINE NEAR SPOT. CAPT TAXIED AND TURNED IN TO GATE. L VERT WINGLET PASSED WITHIN FEET OF OUR WINDSCREEN. GND CREW WAS GIVING STOP SIGNAL. OUR GND CREW STOOD IN AMAZEMENT OF HIS ACTION AND ACTED AS WING WALKERS. IF THEY HAD GIVEN A STOP SIGNAL, IT WOULD HAVE NOT BEEN SEEN OR NOT FOLLOWED. ZMA GND CTL ONLY CLRS INCOMING TFC TO THE GATE. AIRLINES GATE OPS DO NOT TALK TO OTHER CARRIERS ON OTHER CONCOURSES. THIS WAS A VERY UNCOMFORTABLE SIT TO BE IN. MIA GND CTL WAS GOING TO TRY TO ARRANGE A MEETING WITH CARRIERS ON CONCOURSE.
