Narrative:

Multiple distractions during climb out including emergency leveloff by ATC for traffic, also had wake turbulence on departure moderate to severe. First leg with new captain, short flight (ewr-bos). Got to filed flight altitude of FL210 and ATC advised we were 400 ft low after about 5 mins at that altitude. We had both forgotten to reset one altimeter to 29.92. We both reset altimeters and climbed to FL210. Lesson learned: all charts ready prior to departure and no other duties until after leveloff for cruise!
