Narrative:
We were originally cleared to taxi to runway 24R, and were set up for the departure procedure specific to that runway. Just as we exited the apron area ground control cleared us to taxi via txwys B and H to runway 23. This necessitated us looking up the departure procedure specific to runway 23, and changing our instrument set-up to reflect this new departure procedure. This took a little time, so it felt a bit rushed to do this and accomplish the departure briefing and taxi checklist as we approached the end of the runway. As we taxied down taxiway H I thought that it went all the way to the departure end of the runway. If I had taken more time, and been more careful I would have realized that taxiway H turns into taxiway Q as you approach the end of runway 23. This is slightly confusing, since most of the time we taxi to use the full runway length, and encounter the runway hold short line after turning perpendicular to the runway. Tower informed us that we had crossed the hold short line. We apologized, and were cleared into position for takeoff.

Title: A B737-500 PIC CROSSES OVER THE HOLD SHORT LINE FOR RWY 23 AT CYYZ, ONT.
Narrative: WE WERE ORIGINALLY CLRED TO TAXI TO RWY 24R, AND WERE SET UP FOR THE DEP PROC SPECIFIC TO THAT RWY. JUST AS WE EXITED THE APRON AREA GND CTL CLRED US TO TAXI VIA TXWYS B AND H TO RWY 23. IF I HAD TAKEN MORE TIME, AND BEEN MORE CAREFUL I WOULD HAVE REALIZED THAT TXWY H TURNS INTO TXWY Q AS YOU APCH THE END OF RWY 23. THIS IS SLIGHTLY CONFUSING, SINCE MOST OF THE TIME WE TAXI TO USE THE FULL RWY LENGTH, AND ENCOUNTER THE RWY HOLD SHORT LINE AFTER TURNING PERPENDICULAR TO THE RWY. TWR INFORMED US THAT WE HAD CROSSED THE HOLD SHORT LINE. WE APOLOGIZED, AND WERE CLRED INTO POS FOR TKOF.
