Narrative:
We were given a descent from 15000 ft to 10000 ft. After establishing the descent, it became apparent that we would be coming fairly close to a TCASII target beneath us once the target entered 5 mi. I reduced TCASII display range to gain better detail. At that point, the target became red and an RA was announced. The captain disengaged the autoplt and began a shallow climb to avoid the target. We saw the other rj pass below at close range. I advised ATC of the RA and climb. As soon as the captain began maneuvering. After 'clear of conflict' was received, we descended down to our target altitude.

Title: NMAC BTWN 2 CL65 ACFT DSNDING FROM 15000 FT MSL. RPTR FLC STOPPED DSCNT AND CLBED IN RESPONSE TO TCASII RA. OTHER ACFT WAS THEN SIGHTED PASSING BELOW AT CLOSE RANGE.
Narrative: WE WERE GIVEN A DSCNT FROM 15000 FT TO 10000 FT. AFTER ESTABLISHING THE DSCNT, IT BECAME APPARENT THAT WE WOULD BE COMING FAIRLY CLOSE TO A TCASII TARGET BENEATH US ONCE THE TARGET ENTERED 5 MI. I REDUCED TCASII DISPLAY RANGE TO GAIN BETTER DETAIL. AT THAT POINT, THE TARGET BECAME RED AND AN RA WAS ANNOUNCED. THE CAPT DISENGAGED THE AUTOPLT AND BEGAN A SHALLOW CLB TO AVOID THE TARGET. WE SAW THE OTHER RJ PASS BELOW AT CLOSE RANGE. I ADVISED ATC OF THE RA AND CLB. AS SOON AS THE CAPT BEGAN MANEUVERING. AFTER 'CLR OF CONFLICT' WAS RECEIVED, WE DSNDED DOWN TO OUR TARGET ALT.
