Narrative:
About 40 mins before landing I was advised that a passenger was ill. The cabin crew called for a doctor and one came forward. Mr X, medical doctor, attended to the passenger and we expedited our descent and arrival into dfw. Upon arrival at dfw, the gate was not positioned and we had to wait to be parked. This was after repeated calls to have assistance waiting at the gate. The medical technicians had not arrived yet either. Once the gate was brought up, we stayed with passenger until he was being cared for by the medical technicians. I want to commend the cabin crew for their professionalism during this incident.
