Narrative:
On a flight from ict to elp, I was cruising at FL220. My copilot and myself had been receiving ARTCC frequency changes along our route. We were over southeast new mexico and roughly 90 mi from el paso. I informed my copilot that we needed to begin our descent and to ask for lower. He tried several times to contact ARTCC but was unsuccessful. We then obtained a frequency from our onboard GPS for the nearest ARTCC frequency. We then contacted ARTCC and told them of our situation. He then advised 'yeah, we have been trying to get a hold of you, you went through some areas you were not supposed to. If you have any high altitude charts on board next time, use them!' at no time did myself or my copilot ever hear a frequency change. We never heard center try to contact us. Upon landing, I contacted the on-duty supervisor at ZAB. He idented himself and said that he was not aware of the situation. Perhaps we were out of communication range in that particular area or center forgot to give us a frequency change.

Title: POSSIBLE UNAUTH ENTRY OF MOA OR RESTR AREAS WHEN THE FLC OF AN AC90 USING A GPS NAV SYS LOSES COM WITH CTLR.
Narrative: ON A FLT FROM ICT TO ELP, I WAS CRUISING AT FL220. MY COPLT AND MYSELF HAD BEEN RECEIVING ARTCC FREQ CHANGES ALONG OUR RTE. WE WERE OVER SE NEW MEXICO AND ROUGHLY 90 MI FROM EL PASO. I INFORMED MY COPLT THAT WE NEEDED TO BEGIN OUR DSCNT AND TO ASK FOR LOWER. HE TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO CONTACT ARTCC BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. WE THEN OBTAINED A FREQ FROM OUR ONBOARD GPS FOR THE NEAREST ARTCC FREQ. WE THEN CONTACTED ARTCC AND TOLD THEM OF OUR SIT. HE THEN ADVISED 'YEAH, WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET A HOLD OF YOU, YOU WENT THROUGH SOME AREAS YOU WERE NOT SUPPOSED TO. IF YOU HAVE ANY HIGH ALT CHARTS ON BOARD NEXT TIME, USE THEM!' AT NO TIME DID MYSELF OR MY COPLT EVER HEAR A FREQ CHANGE. WE NEVER HEARD CTR TRY TO CONTACT US. UPON LNDG, I CONTACTED THE ON-DUTY SUPVR AT ZAB. HE IDENTED HIMSELF AND SAID THAT HE WAS NOT AWARE OF THE SIT. PERHAPS WE WERE OUT OF COM RANGE IN THAT PARTICULAR AREA OR CTR FORGOT TO GIVE US A FREQ CHANGE.
