Narrative:
The dab approach controller never gave me a frequency to contact or turned me over to orl approach until I was 7.5 NM north of orl airport. They gave me an immediate right turn and questioned whether I had just received the frequency and/or handoff -- both of which I indicated yes to. I think that, even though I was on an IFR flight plan, they forgot me.
