Narrative:
Radar cleared us for the approach to maintain 3000 ft till established. Upon localizer intercept, I descended to FAF altitude -- should not have until later. Approach chart very plain but we have nearly always been turned into localizer much closer to FAF. My fault entirely.

Narrative: RADAR CLRED US FOR THE APCH TO MAINTAIN 3000 FT TILL ESTABLISHED. UPON LOC INTERCEPT, I DSNDED TO FAF ALT -- SHOULD NOT HAVE UNTIL LATER. APCH CHART VERY PLAIN BUT WE HAVE NEARLY ALWAYS BEEN TURNED INTO LOC MUCH CLOSER TO FAF. MY FAULT ENTIRELY.
