Narrative:

Going into oak, we accepted a visual approach for runway 29 with the usual restr 'maintain 2000 ft or above till oak 6 DME.' this restr places the aircraft 2 dots high on the GS at that point. At the same time we also got an instrument comparitor light indicating an out of limits difference in pitch between the 2 ADI's. While trying to determine which ADI was out of limits we forgot about the '2000 ft or above the 6 DME' restr and just rode in on the GS. This restr at oak is a bad idea to start with, it's really hard to return to a stabilized approach after being 2 dots high on GS at OM.
