Narrative:

After an uneventful 2 hour flight during severe clear VFR, I entered left downwind for runway 13 and attempted to extend the landing gear. The indicator light failed to illuminate. I cycled the gear lever up, then down, with no apparent movement of the gear, which was down but not locked. I then followed the emergency gear extension procedure, again without apparent movement of the gear. While coordinating efforts with ground support, I maneuvered for 90 mins, trying to obtain 'down and locked' to no avail. I then made an approach to land. As expected, the gear collapsed on touchdown. I exited the plane without injury and was pleased to see fairly minimal damage to the aircraft.

Narrative: AFTER AN UNEVENTFUL 2 HR FLT DURING SEVERE CLR VFR, I ENTERED L DOWNWIND FOR RWY 13 AND ATTEMPTED TO EXTEND THE LNDG GEAR. THE INDICATOR LIGHT FAILED TO ILLUMINATE. I CYCLED THE GEAR LEVER UP, THEN DOWN, WITH NO APPARENT MOVEMENT OF THE GEAR, WHICH WAS DOWN BUT NOT LOCKED. I THEN FOLLOWED THE EMER GEAR EXTENSION PROC, AGAIN WITHOUT APPARENT MOVEMENT OF THE GEAR. WHILE COORDINATING EFFORTS WITH GND SUPPORT, I MANEUVERED FOR 90 MINS, TRYING TO OBTAIN 'DOWN AND LOCKED' TO NO AVAIL. I THEN MADE AN APCH TO LAND. AS EXPECTED, THE GEAR COLLAPSED ON TOUCHDOWN. I EXITED THE PLANE WITHOUT INJURY AND WAS PLEASED TO SEE FAIRLY MINIMAL DAMAGE TO THE ACFT.
